Berry smoothie bowls are a vibrant, spoonable alternative to traditional smoothies, packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and natural sweetness. This thick, creamy breakfast is the perfect way to start your day with a boost of energy. By using frozen berries and bananas, you achieve a luscious texture that serves as the perfect canvas for your favorite crunchy toppings like granola, nuts, and seeds.

  • Total Time: 10
  • Yield: 1 bowl

Ingredients

1 ½ cups Mixed frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

1 medium Frozen banana

½ cup Greek yogurt

¼ cup Almond milk

1 tbsp Chia seeds

1-2 tbsp Honey or maple syrup

½ tsp Vanilla extract

Toppings: Fresh berries, granola, sliced almonds, coconut flakes, hemp seeds

Instructions

1. Prep: Use pre-frozen berries and a pre-frozen banana for the thickest consistency.

2. Blend: In a high-speed blender, combine frozen berries, frozen banana, Greek yogurt, almond milk, chia seeds, sweetener, and vanilla.

3. Process: Blend on high for 1-2 minutes until thick and smooth. Scrape down sides as needed. If too thick, add more almond milk 1 tbsp at a time.

4. Assemble: Transfer the thick base into a bowl using a spatula.

5. Top: Arrange fresh berries, granola, sliced almonds, coconut flakes, and hemp seeds in artistic rows or clusters on top.

6. Serve: Enjoy immediately while cold and thick.

Notes

Pro-Tips:

• Use only frozen fruit; adding ice can water down the flavor and prevent the signature thick, spoonable texture.

• For extra creaminess, try blending in half an avocado—it adds healthy fats and a luxurious mouthfeel without affecting the berry flavor.

• Layer your blender with liquids first, followed by frozen solids, to help the blades move efficiently.

Variations:

• Tropical: Add mango chunks and pineapple to the berry mix.

• Green Boost: Blend in a handful of fresh spinach; the berries are strong enough to mask the color and flavor.

• Protein-Packed: Stir in a scoop of your favorite vanilla or berry protein powder.
