Whether you’re a seasoned baker or a kitchen novice, this crumble and peach cobbler recipe will become your go-to for family gatherings, potlucks, or those evenings when you’re craving something sweet and comforting.

  • Total Time: 65
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

6-8 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup cold butter, cubed

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup rolled oats (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease your baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches with sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Toss gently to coat.

3. Pour the peach mixture into your prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.

4. For the crumble topping, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.

5. Add cold butter cubes to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

6. If using oats, stir them into the crumble mixture now.

7. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the peaches, covering completely.

8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.

9. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Pro-Tips:

• Always taste your peaches before adding sugar; very ripe peaches may need less added sweetness.

• For extra flavor, add a splash of bourbon or amaretto to the peach filling.

• Let the cobbler cool for at least 15-20 minutes before serving to allow the filling to set properly.

Variations:

• Mixed Berry: Mix in blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries with the peaches.

• Creamy Layer: Add a layer of cream cheese between the fruit and crumble.

• Ginger Spice: Add fresh grated ginger and candied ginger pieces to the filling and topping.
