Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Instant coffee
- 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons Boiling water
- 1 cup Milk of choice
- Optional: Pinch of cinnamon
Instructions
1. Combine: Add instant coffee, sugar, and boiling water to a mixing bowl.
2. Whip: Using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer on high speed, whip for about 2 minutes. The mixture will lighten in color and increase in volume.
3. Check: Scrape down sides, whip any remaining bits. It should be light, fluffy, and hold stiff peaks.
4. Adjust: Taste; if you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar, keeping in mind it will be diluted by milk.
5. Prepare: For iced coffee, fill a tall glass with ice and pour in milk. For hot, use warm milk.
6. Serve: Spoon the whipped coffee mixture on top of the milk.
7. Enjoy: Stir vigorously until combined into a creamy delight.
Notes
- Instant Coffee Only: Ground coffee will not dissolve or whip into foam.
- Whipping: Don’t rush; whip for the full 2 minutes to ensure the foam holds its shape.
- Manual Whipping: Can be done by hand with a whisk, but expect 8-10 minutes of vigorous effort.
- Storage: The whipped mixture lasts in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days; re-whip slightly if deflated.
- Temperature: Use boiling water to help dissolve ingredients and create a smoother foam.
