Nothing says summer quite like a vibrant, juicy Sweet Watermelon Fruit Salad. This colorful medley of fresh fruits combines the natural sweetness of watermelon with complementary flavors and textures that create the perfect refreshing treat for hot days. The beauty of this dish lies in its simplicity – fresh, quality ingredients that shine through without complicated preparation.

  • Total Time: 50
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

6 cups Watermelon (seedless, cut into cubes)

2 cups Fresh strawberries (hulled and halved)

1 large Mango (peeled and cubed)

3 medium Kiwi (peeled and sliced)

1 cup Fresh blueberries

1/4 cup Fresh mint leaves (chopped)

2 tablespoons Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

1 tablespoon Honey or agave nectar

Instructions

1. Prepare all fruits by washing thoroughly, then cutting the watermelon into 1-inch cubes, hulling and halving strawberries, peeling and cubing the mango, peeling and slicing the kiwi, and measuring the blueberries.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice and honey (or agave) until well combined to create the light dressing.

3. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the watermelon cubes, strawberries, mango, kiwi, and blueberries.

4. Drizzle the lime-honey dressing over the fruit mixture and toss very gently to coat all pieces without bruising the delicate fruits.

5. Fold in the chopped mint leaves, reserving a few for garnish.

6. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld together.

7. Before serving, give the salad a gentle toss and garnish with reserved mint leaves.

Notes

Pro-Tips:

• Chill all fruits before cutting and mixing to ensure your salad is refreshingly cold.

• Cut all fruits into similar-sized pieces for a uniform appearance.

• Prepare the salad no more than 2 hours before serving to maintain optimal texture.

Variations:

• Mediterranean Twist: Add crumbled feta cheese and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

• Tropical Paradise: Include pineapple chunks, papaya, and toasted coconut flakes.

• Spicy Kick: Sprinkle with Tajín seasoning or add a pinch of chili powder.
